COLAGOGOS NATURAL TREATMENTS

The cholagogues are medicines or extracts of plants that facilitate the expulsion of bile kept in the gall bladder, and almost always go accompanied by intestinal purged action. Hereunder we present the possible treatments for cholagogues.

Artichoke: Use the leaves (not the edible part). Make a cooking at 5%, boil 10 – 12 minutes. Drink two or three cups a day.
Wormwood:Use the leaves and flowers. Make an infusion at 1%, settle 12 minutes. Drink from three to five spoonfuls daily. Contraindications: In gastrointestinal affections and in overflowing people.
Water hemp:Use the leaves. Make an infusion at 3%, rest 18 minutes. Drink two or three cups a day.
Milk thistle: Use the root. Make a cooking at 3%, boil 8 minutes. Drink two or three cups a day.
Cardoon: Use the leaves. Make a cooking at 5%, boil 12 minutes. Drink two or three cups a day.
